Ferrari 812 Superfast – Full-Front XPEL Ultimate Plus™ PP

The Brief

A new client brought us his stunning Ferrari 812 Superfast finished in deep Rosso Metallizzato with a factory racing stripe. He wanted the entire front end protected before embarking on a European road tour—no stone chips, rubber marks, or swirl haze allowed.

Studio Preparation

• Pre-rinse, citrus snow-foam, and two-bucket wash
• Iron fallout remover and clay-bar treatment to purge transport contaminants
• Single-stage machine polish to refine the soft Ferrari clear-coat and maximise metallic flake
• IPA panel wipe for perfect film adhesion in our 22 °C, dust-filtered bay

Full-Front Coverage & Technique

What we protected and how we did it

• Front bumper and lower splitter: Wrapped in XPEL Ultimate Plus™ 8 mil self-healing film, tucking edges behind grilles and carbon inserts.
• Full bonnet and front wings: One-piece patterns with wrapped edges so the metallic red and central stripe remain uninterrupted.
• Headlights & DRLs: XPEL Headlamp Protection to preserve clarity and block UV fade.
• Mirrors, A-pillars, and leading roof edge: Custom bulk pieces applied knife-free to shield high-speed impact zones.

All patterns were machine-cut in-house; no blades ever touched the paint.

Results

• Virtually invisible film lines; the bold stripe and metallic depth remain perfectly visible.
• Gloss readings increased by +5 GU, giving the Rosso finish even more liquid depth.
• Infrared curing activated the self-healing topcoat, removing any light installation marks.
• Final wipe with Gtechniq C2v3 for added slickness and hydrophobicity.
