The Brief

This luxury Mercedes V-Class is used daily as a VIP chauffeur vehicle, clocking serious motorway mileage. The owner wanted the entire front end protected so the paint would stay immaculate for high-profile clients and maintain strong resale value.

Studio Preparation

• Citrus pre-wash, snow-foam bath and safe two-bucket contact wash
• Iron fallout remover and clay-bar decontamination to lift embedded road grime
• Single-stage machine polish to refine Obsidian Black clear-coat and restore depth
• IPA panel wipe to ensure perfect film adhesion inside our 22 °C, dust-controlled bay

Full-Front Coverage & Technique

What we protected and how we did it

• Front bumper and lower splitter: Wrapped in XPEL Ultimate Plus™ 8 mil, edges tucked behind grille and chrome trim.
• Full bonnet and front wings: Single-piece patterns, wrapped edges for seamless gloss on the large panels.
• Headlights & DRLs: XPEL Headlamp Protection to guard expensive LED units from chips and UV fade.
• Mirrors, A-pillars and leading roof edge: Knife-free bulk pieces to shield high-impact wind zones.
• Door edges and handles: Added strip coverage to stop passenger scuffs on frequent entry and exit.

All patterns were precision-cut in-house; no blades ever touched the paint.

• Invisible film lines—Obsidian Black finish retains mirror-like clarity.
• Gloss readings increased by +4 GU, enhancing showroom presentation for guests.
• Infrared curing activated the self-healing topcoat, removing light installation marks.
• Final wipe with Gtechniq C2v3 delivered extra slickness and hydrophobicity.
